Hi guys, I have the Metro 8.4" disc brakes all organised but they still have the standard pads. Id like to put Ferodo DS2500 pads on them but Ive been told by the local brake dealer that they have to be cut from an existing pad and will cost $280/set ex east.

Has anyone else done the Metro disc conversion and using their car in competition/circuit racing/hillclimbs? Is there a race pad that will fit without cutting... even ex UK?

Any info greatly appreciated :)

Try http://www.ebcbrakes.com.au/

I use Greenstuffs on my S brakes, they are good on the road and for track days, Redstuff & Yellowstuff are even harder.

They are made in UK.

Edit> you can also buy online from http://www.autospeed.com/shop/category_632/browse.html

Does anyone else have the Metro discs and uses them hard on track?
Which EBC are you using?

yup easy, but I want to know which pad to go for.. I wanted the Ferodo DS2500 but they have to be cut to fit.. the EBCs apparently fit off the shelf...

but green, red, blue....???

It will be used on track and hillclimbs

I find the Greens are fine on the track during trackdays at Wakefield, I guess depends how hard you are trying. ... :P
Let's face it- a Mini doesn't have much weight to stop. If Greens are OK on my S brakes they would be more than OK on the bigger 8.4 discs.
