is that a 1275 head on a 998?

Yapp! Notice the head is converted to 11 stud!
Back in the 1990s there was a Endurance/Clubmanracing series with Minis here in Sweden. (I was only a spectator)
Only A-serie engines in class Smallbore, Bigbore & Sport All 3 classes run in a four hour heat. Today the series is gone, but the knowledge about the tuning still lives.
So I talk to a lot of people who build Smallbore engines back in the day, about performance a n d reliability!
Remarkably the difference between a fullrace stroked 1430cc with LSD (Sport), ordinary/fullrace 1380cc without LSD (Bigbore) and a sometime ordinary/fullrace tuned 1030cc
without LSD (Smallbore), ended up that the Smallbore cars took the chequered flag only 2 or sometimes 1 lap after the "bigger" engine cars!

So, Yees! Im older and more reliable today!
