If you use roundie radiator brackets and lose the fan spacer, probably. I don't see why any Mini needs these 70mm rads unless there are other issues though...

I have a 55mm in my roundie - I modified the shroud to pull the radiator closer to the motor and it fits fine

does 100hp at the wheels count as "other issues"?

At that stage, you might have a point.

Had the same issue fitting the 55mm rad... Squeezes in nicely with the shroud modified though.

it did help... wasn't too bad on the standard radiator, but the extra capacity made a difference when it needed it

Now the blower is off, the big radiator is still there and can do motorkhanas with my kids all day at 82°

Thanks guys Rob suggested there may be three different types of radiator brackets .
Looking get rid of spacer on water pump and maybe run a metal fan

I cut the inner wing shroud out and mounted the radiator directly onto the inner wing using some aluminium angle iron as brackets - one long one at the front and one very short one to secure the top of the radiator at the back. Radiator removal is a 5 minute job.
