I've partially striped my 1100 for my mini and found that the head has had a little bit of work done to it. Does anyone know if grinding down the peaks between the valves will increase the flow of the head in any significant way? I've measured the valves and they are still standard size for a 202 head. It would de-shroud the valve a little. I suggest having a read through GR's small bore articles on his website. They will help your understanding. |

Read David Vizards books. They are full of accurate, useful and reliable information on everything you need to know about cylinder head modification. |

I grew up reading and learning from books...great for getting your posture right when placed on your head whilst strutting about...or for holding doors open...etc etc I read in one, that when remodelling combustion chambers by removing metal, that you are lowering the compression ratio so you need to skim head or block or use different pistons to compensate (or, after measuring and calculating your new CR, to just live with it! ) |

When I learnt music (drumming) I was taught to read . Its not needed to play but it is essential to pass things on and learn .The credibility of the book writers is unquestioned when they hide nothing. |
