I have acquired a couple of 1100S blocks. The blocks with no Cooper S back plates. Were they all thin, thick or a mixture of flanges? Cheers. |

Thin flange ones all had the small journal crank and S rods. So did early thick flange ones. From around 12YDTaH10500 they got the big journal crank and heavy lump rods. Even the thin flange ones are much stiffer than a Cooper S block. No need to tap flange holes bigger IMO. They don't leak there. |
