as i always liked the idea of a SOHC 8V cylinder head and noone makes one that fits directly as fas as i know i tried my luck.

head is fitted, next to figure out the belt drive
the intake is from a TBI, but will be modded to multi point

So who made the head Klas? You'ce used an intake runner from a TBI(?), and the head?

The big question is what is the head from :?:
I'd like to know what the flow rate is compared to the BMW K100 head :?: (also 8V, 8 ports, twin overhead cams).

Are those coil packs on the end of the head instead of a dizzy?

its a FIAT heat, from the old and trusted FIRE engine, still made today. very cheap and plentifull over here. the head cost me 10€.
compared to the BMW head you have to relocate each and every head bold, but it is designed as "freiläufer". don't know what its called in english, if the belt snaps the valves can not touch the pistons even at full lift. so you don't need special pistons.
honestly i hope it makes the same power as the original head. i don't consider it a power upgrade. FIAT quotes around 55HP for the 1100ccm engine the head is from.
the engine started with carb and dizzy back in its days and they never changed much to update it. so some day they just dropped the dizzy and made a plate to fit the coils there. i thought about relocating them but a new set of sparkplug wires cost only 11€. so to save me the hassle of making my own custom set i will stick with that for now.
the intake manifold is from the throttle body injected version. there is a multipoint version, but the manifold is huge, and most are plastic. so i took the cheapes i could find. will cut it down to fit a mini engine bay and fit some bungs to go multipoint injection.

and to make the life even more colorful, i will be using injectors out of a Ford Fiesta and the Multec-S (full sequential) efi system from a Opel Tigra.
guess why? right, the parts where cheap

In English it would be a "non-interference" engine where the valves can't hit the pistons if it all goes bad...

Dose that mean the combustion chambers are really big? to keep the valves away from the piston.

the cambers are 10mm deep and you have around 9mm valve lift IIRC .
will check it and take some pics when i remove the head again.
