About every 2nd person on ausmini uses one, yes it is good. Do a search on here and you will find out which members are using it and what they think of it.

Ring GR and talk to him and he will steer you towards the correct camshaft for what you want to use your car for.

Yep we have a RE13 Cam in a 1100+60thou with a HIFF44 carb. This is my Wifes daily drive and if she does not complain about it, it good for any of us. For a Hot road cam its also perfect 2500 to 75000 all the way.
If you want a something a little tamer GR will recomend the 266 which is also perfect for the road but a lttle tammer

I'd like something a little tamer than 75000. RE13, perfect cam for a 747!
Jokes aside, I have a 1293 with RE13 and 1.4:1 rockers and it is a good cam.

ok cool, specs my way are 1310, 11,1 comp, flat top mahle pistons, hif 6, 1,34 su,standard 344 diff mini k box, extracter exhaust,1.3 roller rockers, big valve 5 port head, blah, blah, blah.the original cam got lunched by the the lifters,as far as i can tell it was a full race cam,ie no power till 3000rpm,so hoping that re 13 is more tractible, heard nothing but good news about it,ken at mini automotive recommended same cam,so far i think its a good choice, thanks for your input lads,re13 it is then cheers andy....

Your 1310 sounds similar spec to what mine was, it eventually lunched the cam too (a Camtech VP3) but took 45,000 miles to do it.
I replaced it with an RE13, which has better torque and midrange and the same top end. 8)
I've since replaced the RE13 (engine is now out to 1360) with an RE282 which is even better, but sadly these are now unobtainium.
