The late "Square-ish" (sharp edged) ones don`t have any bushes fitted inside , they`re "sintered",,, sorry but i don`t like them very much at all

Are they the same ratio as the others.

Mmmm...not straight forward to answer.

The late ones are of a lesser grade material, but quite consitant in that the 'ratios' between them are more accurate.

The Cooper S Cast ones are fairly strong but all over the shop are far as accuracy goes. You might need to go through a few of them to get a set that is the same.

If your not running wild cams or pulling high RPM on the race track, then the late ones I think you'd be happy with.

I tested S rockers, pressed steel rockers, and the late sintered ones.
I found the S ones gave 1.16:1, pressed steel 1.21:1, and sintered 1.18:1.
All were measured on the same 12G940 head, with an RE13 cam (0.290" lobe lift) fitted.

I like the pressed steel (round pad) ones, with 0.44" offset bushes in I can get them up to 1.31:1 ratio. And their pads are harder than the S rockers.

The oval pad 1275 ones with the same offset bushes, I got 1.35:1. Simon K has a set in his S.

They were made by Vandervell, some of mine have the `VP' logo stamped at one end.
But not all do, whether someone else made them too I'm not sure.

my best ever race engine i ran the pressed steel (wide pad 1100"S") ones,,, my dad hit the roof when he found out,,, i didn`t weld the seam or anything either

520thou lift & they lasted about 12 years :-)

But i must admit, i did go through literally hundreds of sets of rockers to find a nice matched set,,,,

& if any of you had ever seen the pile of 2nd hand rockers we used to have up at ReadSpeed,,, (literally a big pile about 5 feet high & about 8-10 feet across) well,,, you`d understand how long that actually took me :-(

that engine screeeeeeeeeeeeeem-d, Damn i miss that engine :-(

I think their strength comes from being so stout

The missus has a matched set, but I did actually think / find that they were better than that, or was I lucky? (or lucky that I have no nuts?)
