I went to the shed to take some photos.
So the kit (which is excellent) looks like this. Nothing screwed together, just loose:
And the sensor part:
But the poly-vee pulley looks like this:
Here are some quick & dirty dimensions. I will measure properly on the weekend:
So the poly-vee and the V-belt both have their outer edge (closest to the radiator) in the same position. This is at 58mm from the face of the plate that separates the engine from the timing gear. The poly-vee is wider and comes closer to the timing cover. The trigger wheel can't fit in there.
The poly-vee pulley doesn't have the two 'puller' holes that are used to mount the trigger wheel onto the V-belt version.
The poly-vee has an outer cylindrical end that the trigger could be mounted onto. This is a diameter of 106.94mm and a length of about 7.86mm.
If the trigger wheel was changed to a 10mm thick ring it could be mounted over the balancer's cylindrical end. A grub screw could be used through the area of the 'missing tooth' to hold it in place.
The bracket to hold the sensor needs to be changed/spaced to position the sensor for the new wheel location.
I hope this helps.
