Hey all,

Im new here but have been fully restoring an old 1965 van. I bought it over 12 months ago and am in the process of putting it all back together now.

From a post on Facebook I was told a DrTrim on here might be the old owner? Can anyone shed some light on it, would love to know some history on the car.

I owned it for about 18 months. Was 850, drum brakes. I stuck in a hottie 998 with Cooper head, twin SUs, and 'S' discs behind reverse-centre 'S' wheels. Got defected not much later.

Memories of going through Maccas drive thru with 8 people in the back. Ahhhhh, the good old days. Haha.

How long ago was that and what did you get defected for?

I've got a hot 1100 to go in it, cooper s discs, stepped drums etc. Was it blue and rusty when you owned it?

I would have been 17 or 18... Sooooo that's 15ish years ago!

I'll dig out a photo somewhere.. blue? Yes. Rusty? Yeah, but not crazy. It was about as ratty as most vans though, and the body wasn't square

That'd be awesome if you could dig up a photo. It's been squared up and braces welded across the back doors in the top corners. Hopefully she comes back to life very soon!
