Spotted on Sunday in Adelaide.

Nice condition and you could fit a few dozen bottles of red wine in the back !

Why wouldn't anyone be allowed to?? I am not sure what would prohibit it.

if it was a problem you could describe it as a "Company Vehicle Identification Number"

I know it's a problem in the UK driving around with "racing numbers" on your car, but has it ever been a problem here?

There are thousands of cars driving around with identification numbers as Hobson mentioned, I can't see how racing numbers would be any different?

Example:

Just updating the old photobucket images when I saw the last comment.
The Shiraz Challenge at Ed Cellars is always great! I always vote for Kalleske Wines it's one of my favourites.
I'm sure your wife must have served me for sure.
In fact I bought some Kalleske wine for the chaps who are currently tuning my Mini, after they did such a great job with my Fiat X1/9.
