Hi, need help with door rod inside door one end has long slot other end short slot what end fits on door opener on outside handle. Cheers Michael....

Doesn’t look like anything on my 1964 doors? Do you have wind up windows or the original sliding ones?

That rod is used on windup window doors not sliding 850 ones.

These are handed L&R. The Miniking catalogue seems to show the longer slot to the rear.
My notes from when I did my doors, I have the LH link rod with offset at both ends towards the outside of the door - the centre section therefore closer to the inside of the car. Also the bar bends downwards at the front edge of the door.
