Anybody fitted these vintage classic seats to a Mini here? UKP320 per pair includes runners. Can even have them heated. http://www.bbclassics.co.uk/bbvintage.html

They do look nice....you would need special mini runners though, so that adds about $170 to each seat minus about $50 each if you sell the standard runners....am in the process of investigating these type of seats.

Good Luck

They're on ebay complete with custom Mini subframes included for UKP379 plus UKP190 shipping. Not cheap but look better built than the Cobras and are a direct replacement for classic Mini seats. They retain the tilt forward ability and are made of faux leather, not vinyl, with black piping. Also available in red or green it seems. I've not heard of them before, but there was a car featured in Mini Magazine recently that had a pair fitted and they looked sensational

It's not really clear what 'faux leather' means. It could be vinyl, it could be PU leather (most likely).

There's no real way of telling the quality of the materials except for time. Some vinyl lasts decades (our 1986 hilux with 720k on the clock has vinyl seats that still look fine). On the other hand I've seen vinyl that is cracking and peeling within a year. Same goes for PU leather.

Heard the Autotecnica seats are pretty good and have ADR approval.

I just picked up a pair of autotechica seats with runners. They appear well made. Will need to fabricate some mounts to adapt them to the mini. Great value!

Does anybody have pictures of their fabricated brackets? I’m just getting into that now with my autotecnica seats

There’s some photos here of the ones Drmini made

I’m going to do something similar, but I might use preformed angle for the front rather than welding it
