No legal way to use one on the road here anyway unless it's considered like a brand new car...

We have three customers who have purchased these shells, and have them on the road & they have gone through
all the paperwork etc via Canberra too.

That's really interesting news, and good for those wanting to take the path of a brand new shell.

Can you give a summary of the steps involved to make them road registerable so others can make an informed decision? A ballpark figure of costs and timing would also be of great benefit.

We have helped these customers with engine builds & general parts BUT not been involved in walking the cars
through the process of registration , each state of course having their own rule book as they do.

and the "Rule Book" (of course) is completely open to interpretation by local wallers who may not know excreta from clay

I wonder if they use an old ID plate on these new shells? M&MWorld are you aware if this happened?

Hah! Personal Attack Warning!! (the oldest trick in the books....)

Never, ever assume AB, you have no eye deer whether I have preconceived ideas or do you know how many times me and friends have been burned by shonks...However, I well and truly DO NOT believe that all are as low as you think I do!!

Unfortunately, a small cadre of individuals, businesses, government authorities etc give the vast majority of the other honest, well intentioned people a bad name...and as AUSMINI is a collective forum of enthusiasts and others seeking information...I have no problem telling it like it really is

9YATAH….best you do some more homework on this topic before you again launch into
another rant on people ( " local wallers " I believe you said ) that you do not know.

It seems when ever I make a comment on this forum you can't help but twist/ bring
out your negative attitudes !

I saw the topic & let it be known there were new shells now on our roads.
One is owned by a well known engineer in the mini community & i'm sure
will take your opinion on board- NOT !.

You don't have to be obnoxious ALL the time .

AB, hope you feel a lot better after hucking up that big lump of phlegm :D

Personal attacks aside...

I'm sure all here on AUSMINI are feeling for all the Mini businesses out there...some will/maybe, some won't survive...all we can do is hope the world gets on top of this virus quick smart...Cheers, Mick
