Dan mate great effort on the car mate, so close you can taste it. The bonnet it looking good I am about to attempt the same thing in about a months time so keep the pics coming. That engine bay is so neat I feel like I should clean mine up from embarrasment...

Excellent Job, you'll have to venture down Canberra way when your finished. Thanks for the thermo switch stuff much appreciated haven't done much with it yet due to the 2 month old.

Cheers

Matt

Another photo of the bonnet, stripped down, needs to be straightened at the back.

Well after much deliberation i took the front flares off, they had been glued on by the previous owner and kept craking along the join. It was all a bit of a mess.

After trying to find a new bonnet catch panel and not having any luck i made my own. I rused the front part of the old one, beat it and put it back into shape then welded a 3mm thick plate to it and smoothed it over.

And another photo of the bonnet with spray putty all over it. It is now starting to take shape and look half decent.

All I can say is "WOW"

I can't belive how neat the engine bay is and how nice the bonnet looks! usually when you see conversions there's wires and stuff running everywhere. It looks like you have taken ALOT of time to plan where things are going to go and looking at it - that was time well spent!
