<edit> It's actually a Ryco, AYG65 in a Leyland box. Box is marked Cooper, late `65. It's the one with the integral steel plate on the bottom, used in filter housings that had the filter bypass switch.
You can have it for nix if it fits.
watch out if it's a Cooper one, they're smaller than the standard mini ones, the oil filter part number for a cartridge type, non S is R2200P, for an S it's R2053P
suggest you just go to repco and get them to look your stuff up in the book....
No, I checked it today, it's the right one for the filter he has (with bypass switch in housing)
I don't think this box marking (scribbled in biro) was correct, it's not a Cooper (ie early type) filter .
There are actually 3 different cartridge filters - early (separate plate), Cooper S (felt, separate plate), late (integral plate). + The automatic one of course- it's much longer.
