My apologies to the wife ;)

Let me know how you go with the coarse thread...maybe a visit to any other hydraulic supplier than the Enzed at Brooklyn might find a different answer

Try Industrial Fittings Sales - http://www.ifsaus.com.au/. Cannot guarantee the staff behind the counter will be helpful but if its a standard thread of some sort they should be able to sort something.... :D

cheers

So if I wanted to move the gauge and valve up to the pump head, would an adaptor be available off the shelf? Or would it be a custom machine job?

Probably would need to make one (I can do in steel)- what thread is the other end?

Another option is to use the insert out of a Ryco field attach fitting.

Cut the taper off to length and screw it into one side of the "T". Screw a nipple into the other side hook up the hose and you're done.

One end of the hose is the 16x2.0 mm bolt thread, the other end is 1/8 NPT which poses no problems, the shrader coupler will screw straight on.

So you need a nipple, male both ends, M16x2.0 one end and 1/8 NPT the other?
I can do that...

hmmm...nearly...

To fit the gauge and barb at the top end you need an adaptor with:
16x2mm male one end, 16x2mm female the other end. A 1/8 NPT for the supplied valve and a 1/4 NPT female for the gauge.

How many Victorian Pesos would I need to send you Doc?

EDIT: I reckon you could swindle SGC into a second as well...he lives nearby and could share post ;)

I'm not sure if I can do it all by machining then, I have no M16 taps here.
They may have some at work, I can look on Monday.

Another easier way for me- I can use M16 threaded rod, with an M16 nut welded on the end for the female connection. Then machine the middle of the rod down to 14mm dia, and drill & tap 1/8 & 1/4 NPT connections into it. Screw a 1/8 NPT nipple in and Bob's yer aunty's husband.
