well peter (pristic) was building his hot 1132 around the same time i finished my turbo conversion. when it originally went on the dyno he was impressed but still wanted a 8port as he wanted around the 140hp mark.

after changing a few things (see my thread http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic ... highlight= ) i managed to get 140 hp with mine , without the cost of a 8port head. Quikly peter was very interested and i convinced him to build an all out 998 turbo. The plan was 20psi boost plus the same turbo as me but over the clutch and an expected output of hopfully 160ish flywheel hp.

So peter organised the bits while i did his turbo setup ( manifold dump pipe and turbo fitings). Iv been doing it for a couple of months now in between other things.

Peter is now starting to get impatient and has dicided to swap cams in his 1132 and run the setup on that with low boost while he is building his 998.

anyway ill update things as there done

Like asking a lady how much she weighs!!!
Nah, im kidding.

Your looking at around $1000 to finish the job really.
It all adds up.
Turbo, Carby, Intake, Plenum, Blow off valve, pipes, oil return lines, regulator, electric fuel pump, bits and bobs here and there... Dont forget camshaft grind, head studs to handle it all (ARP), etc...

Pete.

Where abouts did you get the metro turbo stuff?
Did you have to get it from the UK? or, is there somewhere here that sells that stuff?

Also do you reckon you'd be able to fit two turbo carbies side by side with plenum's?

The single SU as fitted to the Metro turbo would provide plenty of power but I can understand the idea of fitting one for each port - you might be onto something there....

I got from the UK. I think it all comes from there.
Some people have the setup here and happy to sell... but VERY expensive

One is a tight fit, not sure how you would fit 2.
One on each port would be interesting, but hard to setup I would think.

Pete.
