Hey mods, I sent a new user to ausmini, she has registered and needs to be activated.

Her username is probably Maybellene or similar.

She posted on the IPRA forum seeking information to prove that the Cooper S she has in the shed belonging to her late husband and herself was the one driven in the 1967 Bathurst race by Brian Foley and Paddy Hopkirk. http://www.ipraforum.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=6962

I also sent her Watto's direction (sorry if I am spoiling here mate, but this lady needs help!).

In the interest of the Mini community and Maybellene, can you please activate her straight away if you have not already?

Hold on to your britches boys, this one is going to be one helluva ride

cheers
michael
(ps times like this you need to be a mod yourself  )

Maybe someone on an oil rig will buy it all providing she sends them $600 to cover the cost of the initial transport........

I certainly hope it all goes to a good home. History like that is hard to replicate...

Hi mickmini,
I had a lot of trouble getting activated for some reason. Eventually I emailed as many moderators as I could find and I got activated.

I actually had tried 3 different times (different email addresses, etc) but still did not get activated.

Up until this point I assumed I was just unlucky, or was on the black list :? Probably just a technical glitch

Sorry to hear that 68Rusty, glad you are with us now.

I only asked the mods because i saw in the ipra forum that she said she had registered.

Of course we have to recognise that the mods do have lives other than this place, although some of them you wonder

cheers
michael

Thank minimick,
Really glad to be activated and part of the Ausmini community here. I have and am learning so many things that are helping me with my project.

Maybe one day I can offer some knowledge back :D

The team did manage to win its class with #30c taking the Class C win, driven by Tony Fall & Bob Holden, #29c taking 3rd place driven by Timo Makinen & John French. This despite the fact that Timo had barrel rolled the Mini at Forrest Elbow, only losing 35sec's on that lap

!?!?!? Shame there's no in-car footage...
