I'd point out for people here that there's nothin' wrong with the 1100S blocks and that hole. People in Oz have raced and revved the nuts off them for years, and still are. They also bore out better than A+ blocks.
So.... just don't take ALL of Vizard's musings as gospel.. :wink:

If there's no hole (as on LS) the metal there's about 2mm thick max, less if you bore it out... and grey cast iron has bugger all tensile strength anyhow. :lol:
