I found that when I had a set of twin 1 1/4 that my engine had a better low down torque the it has the single 1 3/4 as the air speed was faster. I would stick to the twins for torque as that is what is need to compete at hill climbs.

i will probably end up putting the twins back on, but for now just to get it going so we can see if there are any problems im putting a single on ittle be an inch and 3 quarter carbie, hopefully tomorrow, although i wanted it today :( with my fuel pump it should be perfect!!!

have you asked a club member (John Small) about helping you with the twins?

if you do follow my instructions in the last thread you had, you ought to be able to get them about right - I did it from scratch that way to mine on the weekend as I had a little imbalance, and it's all good.... really not difficult, just takes a little patience and thinking things through before doing anything rash

im changing my twins to a single 1 3/4 atm see thread in mini mods and it is very difficult the twins were probally easier

mine isnt an hif44 its an older model that looks the same as the normal carbies but is bigger, easier to tune and has a float chamber
