I would leave it and mask it. If it looks original I would keep it that way.
Old rivets = genuine car (maybe)

Old in a can?
Think I drank some of them on Sat nite, cause I sure felt old on Sunday!

Vinegar will age aluminium rivets nicely :!:

I've removed the compliance plates to paint and refitted them many times. Never had any problems, as the number is stamped in the body anyway! As long as the numbers match, that's all they care about. Its a Mini, not a WRX!

I would leave the emissions sticker off! Why make it obvious that your pollution pump is missing?

do you have the reverse stamps to stamp them from the back? right size etc.?

if so, can I send you a blank and some numbers to restamp the one on my deluxe, cos some bunny has painted right over it...

Buy the new plate from mini spares in Revesby and most engravers have the right stamps if not mini spares will ask big $$$$ to stamp it for you.
