Does anyone have a tool to remove the front rubber cones from the sub-frame I could borrow, beg or steal... OK. so I won't steal it...

Even a pic, and dimensions of the thread would do. a brief description of the workings.
The Old Digger (Dad) can make one to fit...

search on cone compressor, there are a bunch of threads on this subject including how to make one from the Doc....
