What do you think the following NSW number plate is worth??

BMC - 69S

The perfect accessory for your Mk II Cooper S or Morris 1100S.

That is such an open ended question....

Technically, its only WORTH its BOOK VALUE...... BUT, people will pay what it is WORTH to THEM. Just because they payed X amount over market value does not mean its WORTH that much.

You may have a small problem.

Custom plates (the ones you ake up from a comination of 7 letters and numbers in any order). Actually belong to the person who buys them and regsiters them to a car (and then pays the $400.00 per year).

All other NSW plates - such as the ones you are talking about - even if you did orde them especially, belong to the RTA and can not be sold. Let's say you do a deal with a guy to buy / sell the plates. When you roll up to an RTA office to transfer the plates they will not do it UNLESS they are being transfered to a immidiate family member (no cousins). The only way you can get around it by buying a $100.00 ebay specials putting the plates you want to sell onto this car and sell then whole car with the plates included.

NOW, before veryone starts jumping up and down check with the RTA, I know I had a buyer fr my pu55y plates.

You can sell them now.

The buyer is required to pay the $170 transfer fee.

How do I know??? My Mum works at the RTA.

Cheers
Julie.........

Hey Kyoda- your mum needs to go back to RTA school.

I contacted the RTA today and you STILL con not sell any plates other than the Custom plates. You can only transfer them when you sell the whole car or transfer them to other cars in your name or direct fanily members.
