to get the whole head done (minus guides - thanks kev!)
Plus re-cutting inlet seats for me was about $300

plus $400ish for parts (new valves, springs, seats, guides, collets (used my "S" retainers))

so total of about $750  for my big-valve conversion...

(god i hope she never reads THIS post!)

 James, if any of our wives ever read Ausmini we'd all be in it DEEP!

So as you can see, it's best to start off with a better head to begin with. 12G202 is better than the 998 head and 12G295 is even better (but you pay for it)... You can make the 202 just as good as a 295, so I'd try to find one of those before spending any money on head work

Kaz/68 - death would be a comfort if they ever read it. My reconditioned 12G202 cost me nothing in my wifes eyes...lol. Hmmmm and the dellorto collection - getting a wee bit hard to explain when Aussie Post turns up with anouther "box".

I have no trouble justifying Mini parts purchases. You see, she owns a Mini too! (`pretend S' looks better than mine, but eats my dust) :P
