Well, a prompty efficient transaction from Karcraft landed me a nice set of front end panels and floor panels. So, a few quick q's.
They are painted, obviously to weld I should clean that area back, but what are your suggestions for reattaching them, assuming I don't have access to a spot welder? Plug weld through old panels or through new panels?

Carby Q, I've just stripped and cleaned 1 of my only carbs, a HS2, and temporarily reassembled it (work it all out before using rebuild kit), but my dashpot it missing 1 mount (broke in degreasing/petrol soaking stage). But, the dashpot piston thingy comes all the way down and rests virtually as far as it can come down. Is this normal? If not what should it do? I do not have any oil in the dashpot as yet.
