I just found out about another mini to buy today. I don't know how much he wants, I havn't seen it, I don't even know if it's roundnose or clubbie but here goes - the owner is a factory trained morris mechanic who specialised in minis, it's 1100, hydro suspension and I don't think he wants much for it. He thought about tidying it up, but doesn't have a hydro pump and after a lifetime working on other peoples cars can't really be bothered.

Thing is he rebuilt this car for his daughter a few years ago and the motor and drivetrain are basically new. I have a good feeling about this!

No you cant just stop at one. Once you have one...someone else in the family also wants one...LOL

Yeah, I've been keeping that in mind, but I get the impression that he is one of those people that would not start something that he wasn't going to do right. I think it may well be a good run around while I get Tarquin finished, then pull it off the road and do it up.

How's this, he was telling me that he tried to buy a hydro pump off a local garage, they told him he could borrow one anytime he wanted and when he went to use it they had thrown them both out!

Sounds like a great plain....
