i was reading this the other night
and i only just now noted the dates.
a loong old

well today my mini really rooted itself.
i was at a servo in the pissing rain and the car wouldnt starts.
Everything is so Loose on the carby, - yet its so stiff? Does that make any sense? maybe i just cant explain it.
But it would go for 15 minutes. So i think i buggered the choke off, cause it was annoying me. and eventually it worked again.
And i found a way to unclog everything.
Its called the right boot :x and cain that bad bad bad mini :x

why does it have to be so annoying to me.
i got soaked for it today. But after a few revouts it fixed it for the day.
But it will be back the next time i drive it.
Same problem as my namesake here.
except i have to give it about 20-30 seconds of solid choke all the way out and throttle pumping to get a burp out of it

sorry for stealing :P thread. but it seemed like a good idea :P

Could be water in the system:
Try putting a 1ltr bottle of metho in the tank next time you fill up. The metho will absorb the water in the system and take it through the system. I do mine every 6 monthe and it also helps the filter as 90% of clogged filters are only filled with water.

Also you could pull the fuel tank out and clean it. drain the tank, throw in 4 handfuls of blue metal (road gravel the blue stone stuff course) a 1tlr water and slosh it around. The stone hones all the crap and rust of the inner surface. Get the stone out and drain. When refilling use that ltr of metho and it should be good a gold.
