i mean
my mini does not idle
no matter how much fiddling with the carby - cables, screws holes whatever, even before i buggered it 8)
it did not idle
sit at the lights going
vroom, vroom, vroom, non stop, always, and people look at me funny :?

I found the same prob then

clean and greased accel cable, free'd it from the carpet
new air filter
reco the butterfly spindle

warm and tune

now sets on 700-800 warm and 1000+choke when cold

998, standard everything. ~1000. give or take.

although sometimes after a bit of a drive, when you slow down at the lights or something, and you ahve to stop, the revs drop and it cuts out? and you have to give it a little bit of chocke or a quick pump on the accel to keep him going, but then its fine. is that a sticking piston?

Mines the opposite now to Dylan's Clubby's problem, I've got it idling at around 1100 but it actually idles at about 1600.. I have to tap the accelerator pretty hard for it to go back down to 1100.. Could it be one of the butterfly thingos staying open? I just re-kitted the carbies, but left the butterfly things.

that sounds like a sticking accelerator cable
