Thats Right I was qoutoed on a EL falcon and it was cheaper then other conventional insurance people.

i have to wonder what our poor vans insurance will be..with a supercharger etc fitted..
however, by the time its ready for the road..hehe..we'll probly both be over 25 8)

I am still trying to follow all this. The car will not be supercharged immediately, but will be before he is 25 years old. It will certainly have the blown motor in it at any car club event. The reason for insuring it in his name is to create an insurance history. If you are implying he is not capable, he has been racing karts since nine years old, driven them at 160kph on long track regularly and had the big accident which showed him he is not fallible. More than most 17 year olds have done. Also karts are far quicker than any Mini.

yeah me and kaz have our cars with shannons,

cheeper excess for us aswell, the van is insured for $3500 for laid up cover, only $150 a year, and the charade is on 3rd party for only $350 a year, with a $950 excess, (damn good for 2 20 yo drivers!!!)

i worked in insurance for a while,

Yeap, I will be going the forced induction route soon, though probably more power courtesy of a replacement late jap motor ala 4EFTE ;)

Fully Comprehensively Insured, though I have already been with shannons for 3-4years building up my no claims since I was 17 :)
