well done Ken, glad you`re going,,,i think Billy won`t be there with the twinny this year, not sure but i don`t think the rear engine will be back together by then.

I`ll be there, but will be riding a quad runner around towing Lionel Ayres`s "Yellow Submarine" historic open wheeler around for him :-)

I broke my ankle last week so i have this big bright blue cast on & i won`t be hobbling arond on krutches all weekend, Bugga that!!!,,,,also i have a friend of mine comming around this week to attach a whipper snipper motor to my tricycle for me, basket on the back for the esky :-) hopfully that will be ready,,,if not then i`m sitting on the quadrunner all weekend :-)

hope to be there friday, but might only make it late friday night.

see you there sweety pants :-)

well,,,what a weekend!!!!!!,,,F`ken HUGE!!!! there were so many dam people everywhere , more & more every year , it`s wicked!!!

I was trundling around on my little red trike, peddling around in between helpin out Lionel & Bruce Ayers with the Yellow submarine & Billy westerman & Freddy Sayers with the Twinny mini...i tyied to keep a low profile, but somehow the broken foot with bright blue cast & a bright red trike & esky in the back was a bit of a give away so i ended up chatting with a whole heap of people rather than sinking all that lovely cold bourbon in my esky :-)
But it did end up getting drunk :-) i mad equite sure of that :-)

Friday night was huge!!! Party on the main street, sat night was even bigger with dinner table lining the streets again & with 3 big bands playing all sorts of oldy stuff & a roving brass type band wondering around,,,HUGE!!!

Bob Holden had a bit of a moment on his first lap, missed the first corner all together, but it wasn`t just him, quite a lot of people were doin the same thing ...untill they finally woke up & decided to put barriers across & tell each driver where the first corner was :-) silly knobs :-)

The track was much tighter this year, with all the water barriers being empty of water also, made for a much better track,,,altho it was tighter,& times were much slower than last year to the tune of around 2 or 3 secs slower,,, there were less accidents tho & way less hold ups,,,last year when there was a stack, they`d hit the water barrier & of course water would piss everywhere all over the track, so the very next few drivers through there would also slip/slide into em from the water spill,,,stupid really, so it didn`t look like there was any water in them this year :-) Muchous betterous!!!

had a good old chat with old mate John Bowe & Steven Richards & Bob Holden & My good friend Frank Gardiner again(what an amazing man!!!), Ron Tauranac,ok ok,,,i`m just name dropping again, But i must say what lovely people they all are,,,all the hob knobs are just super nice normal human beings & are happy for a little chatty with anyone, very approachable & are all just as excited with the whole affair as anyone, it`s allways a bloody marvelous meeting & event organisers My good friend & Joker-aholic Roger (the artfull dodger) Ealand & his girl friday, Cath Donaldson should be commended on yet another supper dooper well orgainsed Speed on Tweed Meeting

& well,,,lots of chickybabes, top quality eye candy & some hot cars too :-) i didn`t have much time to play up, as i was helping out with a few cars/teams & then drinkng/watchng the racing & went to bed early (yes, very un-like me , i know) But with the broken leg it made it pretty hard to party in the streets without crashing into everyone with the trike :-) & besides, it would have been way too hard to peddle all that way back to the monster truck in the main oval/showgrounds, bugga that!!! !

had some other mini customer related stuff to sort out around Murwillumbah & on the Gold Coast after the event, but got home before sunset on sunday & hit the sack like a log!!!

wicked wicked wicked!!! I wish it could have gone on & on & on,,,but sadly as allways,,,all good things must come to an end, just like this story :-)

cheers & if you get the chance to hit Speed on tweed next year, please, don`t hesitate,,,GET THERE!!! you will not be disappointed...it`s HUGE!!!!!!

sorry, but i didn`t get many pics as i was a little busy most of the time, but i`m sure there`l be some floating around soon :-)
