Just wondering what level of concern i should be showing to the large amounts of white goo that i get under the oil cap on the engine. I am not mechanically inclined in any way, but apparently it means the head gasket is 'going'. Super that??

Ok just wondering if anyone has the same problem, If it is a problem, and what ramifications can i expect, if any if i dont do anything? It has been like it for a long time!

It's usually caused by condensation. Ya get the white goo stuff when water mixes with oil. It will form up under the filler cap, usually as a result of short runs of the engine.

Yeah, I get the same thing, a pale sludgy lookin crap. If ya have a breather on your engine, then something is wrong.

I have no breather on my car, and only a plastic oil filler cap. so the condensation is trapped and mixes with the oil mist.
