I had a look at a mini van 2day... the the motor has been taken out and every thing has been taken off it, just the block left with a few boxes of parts--the bloke told me it's all there  i'm woundering how hard it is to put it all back together and wire it all up etc? i'm not very mechanically minded  and would only have a manual.. or should i get it done buy a pro or should i buy a engine all ready together and use this 1 as parts??
cheers

You could probably, get the motor back in the car, but if you don't know how to build an engine, i really wouldn't suggest it. Tollerences are very important in a rebuild, and there are parts inside an engine if put in the wrong way (thrust washer's) that can completely distory an engine in a very short time. I would suggest either by another complete engine to throw in. or have someone build it for you.

Cheers

The wiring bit would be easy. apart from the spark plugs and ignition wiring, there is hardly anything that goes to the engine LOL. Maybe a few instrument wires.

sounds like he has an engine which is pretty much together just needs the extras back on carby , alternator, starter, dist, etc is this correct if so and you know the engine is in reasonable condition inside then not a huge job
IS this right then pay someone who knows about minis to do it wont cost much couple hours labour
