Hi all,
Found a bloke in town with a heap of old '64 parts, just wandering what sort of prices would be fair for some stuff:
- old engine - 850 or 998, not really sure, does go
- radiator
- "perfectly straigt" bonnet (his words) -$30??
- doors
Also, what model doors will fit my '67/'68 Deluxe, anything with quarter glass from a round nose? I'm hoping to get this stuff cheap, but if I'm gonna get laughed at any better ideas on talking him down etc.

hmmmm..... a good bonnet and doors are very handy indeed. If the doors are rust free and complete, I would pay $100 each. Remember that a door skin is $90.....well that's what I paid.

Makka would be able to tell you what the stuff is worth. Sorry I can't help more than that.

engine running good, does it have a box? $200-$400

radiator no leaks $40-$60

bonnet $50-$100 for a perfect one

doors if complete $100-$200 each depending on condition.

well thats what id ask if i had the parts anyway.

I had a look on ebay and their are a couple of doors and a bonnet from a 68 deluxe that have started off pretty cheap. Keep an eye on them. You might just get a bargain.

That ebay stuff woulda been real nice, but anyway.
I have seen the bloke with the gear, and I got me a bargain.
Went and picked up the bonnet, asked how much, he asked whether I wanted the other bits, I said yep, and he said $100 all up. So I got me a shell, old MK1, not really worth keeping except for panels if any. The old engine, not sure what it is yet, I can go get it on the Weekend if I can get some transport organised for it all. The bonnet is great though, just gotta get it all back to bare metal with the rest of the car.
