Yea, as of yesterday I am done with buffing JAM, so I am on to fitting my rubbers. After reading this thread, I am thinking the superglue option might be a winner. Nothing sux more than trying to hold something in place while glue dries.

Those clips are apparently $1.20 each AND you need about 24 or something cRaZy like that. :? Plain old glue wins hands down.

If you use Selleys Kwikgrip on both the rubber and bootlid, and let it dry off until not sticky to touch, when you shove the rubber on, it won't move. No need to hold it with clamps etc.... this stuff is designed for rubber.

Well fuggit. Now my bloody boot won't shut cause the seal is so firm and good. HEHE I can't even close my garage door. I'm going to have to figure out how to close it or duck tape the boot closed.

I got the clips on okay, I had an old boot and checked it out before attempting to use them. They are a bastard at first to fit. Looking at it on the boot lid, it does seem to fit well, but next time Ill just use Kwik Grip (how many 1 litres cans have I used so far on this car.. its insane).

My boot lid was the same, fitted it and it looked like it was ready to explode, over the last week though its slowly sitting correctly. It looks much more normal now :)
