OK this *really* should be in Car Audio but that section is quite pointless and theres no viewers there... anyway

I am re-designing (if you could call it that) my boot. I am going to incorporate a 10" subwoofer and amplifier.
The sub box would ideally be a mirror image of the LHS tank- as to keep the boot symmetrical and looking schweet as.
Now... has anyone done anything like this? I am thinking of having an oversize front (faces side of car) panel as to keep the curves, etc and the same (roughly) size of the face of the LHS fuel tank.
The box behind it will be the correct volume for the subwoofer... thats all good.

So, any piccies of ANYONES boot - or do people not worry about their boots?

And as for the amp, i'll either mount it on the base of the boot liner or the back of the back seats.

Cheers - pics and possibly writeup (if Anton wants it  ) will be coming early in the new year.

I'm doing one at the moment.

I'm basically going to put a little hidey hole on the RHS... not bothering to make it extend out across the boot for symmetry. I'll put a door on it though so I can stash oil and coolant and a spare dizzy and tools etc in there.

I'm going to do the base so that it has a round hole that I'll do the following with:
1. have the spare in it for longer drives out of town.
2. have a flat cover that will make the base of the boot flat for maximum cargo space (but no spare)

Ive fitted my boot out with MDF, its tottaly boxed. Mounted 2 12in subs behind the seat, have side boards on either sides of the tanks and another board on the spare. Monted 2 4ch amps on the floor board. Its fully carpeted and used like this sound deadning stuff under the carpet, its like a cocconut husk sorta stuff!!! Carpeted the inside of the boot lid as well.

It looks very neat and the stereo performs well, there is also 2 7 by 10's in the parcel tray, so gotta watch the clearnace of the magnets between the subs and speakers. Only major drama is if I get a flat, means pullin the whole stereo system out to get the spare out. Have had to do it once b4, cause the law wanted to sight my spare tyre!!!
