Max Sherry (of Mini Mac) once told me he bought a Clubman for wrecking for $50 and found $183 of coins in the back seat area.
The van had a rattle in the drivers door after the restoration. When I investigated I found a 7/16 socket in there left by a previous owner. It also had a cut in the angled part of the floor near the steering rack on the passenger's side, where the metal had been bent back for access to something and then welded back in place. Maybe a prev owner thought he could get to the speedo cable that way. Too bad the subframe is in the way!
