I'm working through the highlights of Bathurst races. THe race moved to Bathurst in 1962. From memory that was the first year a mini raced in the enduro classic.

They appear in every race right up until 1976!

Now you may Say Fords / Holdens have raced in just about every year but look how much other cars changed and the mini did NOT.

Classic footage on the 1960 - 1966 DVD as the 1966 race (that mini won) takes up most of the tape.

power to weight ratio.
I just read the other day the clubman van weighs less than the sedan.. but even the sedan, you're looking at 630kg (or there abouts) with a 1.3L engine... compared to say my other car which weighs around 1300kg I think and 2L turbo.. the lighter car is going to be able to carry higher corner speed...

oh and they're just cute :)

I fear mine might have 100kg of MIG wire in it when I'm finished. Apparently they handle better too thanks to the longer wheelbase, but if it weren't for the hassle in certifying it, I'd love to shorten it like those custome Kombis of the sizties ;)
