I know there is "proper" material for paper gaskets but but can you substitute something like manila folder material to make gaskets? Or anyone have other suggestions?

Edit: did a Google and answered my own question http://www.mgb.bc.ca/howto/gasket.html

i use corrogated cardboard with plenty of gasket goo

i dont seem to have much of a problem

:shock: Oh gawd. Why don't ya just use silastic while you're at it.
Would work just as well :roll:

Get the proper manifold gasket that you cut out from a sheet. It's not terribly expensive.
And most gaskets you can get precut anyway.
