Hey guys,

I have been having trouble with my carby for a while - 1 1/4 hs2 on an 1100. It always seems to be running very rich - no matter what I do to the jet setting it always fouls up the pugs and runs S**T house after a while - I have set it up by the book but keeps stuffing up. Yesterday I was adjusting it in and out while the engine was running and when I wound it all the way in (lean) it ran quite smooth. I thought it would have cut out. It seems to idle well at any setting but pops and farts under acceleration. The ingition timing etc have all been set up and are ok as far as I know. Any Ideas?

Could it be the wrong Needle? is the needle bent or worn? is the jet worn or warped? Might sound dumb but have you tried taking it apart and cleaning it to check that all is well?

When it "pops and farts" under acceleration is the popping from the carb or the exhaust?
