It was a real ausmini convention at Karcraft this arvo. I knew JAM would have been and gone, but while I was there one of our chaps wanders in (the guy with the mini that was at Summernats - sorry, I know I met you at kazjim's garage sale but I can't remember your name), then a few miniutes later, Aaron strolls in.

Had a good yarn with Greg, must have been there over an hour. Excellent service as always.

I was in the middle of pulling my sub frame down when i couln't find my spring compressor.... ahh well if i ever find it i will have 2! :P But you can't just go to Karcraft and buy 1 thing, so i bought hilos for the van. May as well throw em in while the subframes out.
1310/71 seemed to be buying up big. Fortunatly i had done that about 3 months ago.

Cheers

Aaron

Talking about good service and the place at Smithfield - dont ever try to return one of their LCBs even if it doesnt allign with the A series head. I never seen so much concentrated indignation radiating from one person - no point telling them that me, Kev and gafmo spent a good few hours trying to make it line up - all I got back was "we sold thousands of these and youre the first one complaining". I say "but they just dont line up just try them against a head" and the guy's like "I dont have to check them theyre fine youre the only one complaining".

will deal with Karcraft next time.

My bill yesterday came to $700 comprising mainly of
Gaskets sets
exhaust valves, 2 inlet valves, valve guides, valve spring set
Oil Cooler and hose set, Oil filters
Cam followers
iwis double row chain
engine mounts and a few misc bits and pieces. :D

I had already spent $300 at repco on bearings, and ARP rod bolts and nuts.

Expect the total to be between $1500 and $2000 by the time its finished.
