Well, researched a bit today on the subject, and i may be able to flood the chips, cut the surface back with 800 grit followed by 2000 grit smoother, and then give it a buff and see how we go.........

The bonnet is going to need further surgery followed by pull back to bare metal and respray...... as well as the boot.

Ouch , We all feel for Slidey and hope he gets better real quick.

Pretty lucky realy .... could have been alot worse. not that that helps.

Sorry to hear about your little incident. Made me go and check the bonnet locks on my cars! Have a look at this web site - apparently the product is very good. I emailed them a while ago and they will ship to here. Haven't got round to getting any yet, but I figured that the price was reasonable enough to give it a go. It may help you too.
