Mine's been on for around a month or bit more now and the chrome is still the same.
No notice in condition change... but i do polish it every week or so with Brasso... thats probably why it hasnt changed 8)

Nah, polishing makes no difference for my unit.
Started about a couple of months after fitting it, small specks of rust came through.
It hasn't gotten any worse in the seven odd years it's been fitted, so I've left it, it's only a tip after all.
I think it's down to the surface prep when it was chromed.

Thats quite odd.
You could always slip another tip over the top of it.
The chromed extension from the muffler box isn't the best... i like the rolled edge tips. - around 2" is nice 8)

Proper chrome is put onto a copper plated base. Maybe they didn't bother with that step..
I went and bought a slip-on chrome extension for mine a year ago, but it's 9+ years old now.

Yes that's right. I don't think much of british chroming, especially on the stuff that comes out of minispares sometimes (Grill buttons are a good example).
You get what you pay for! :)

It's just one off the rack at Autobarn, looks like a bit of chromed pipe, which it is! Use your imagination..

Does it have rolled edges?
Coz my first (of 4) exhausts had a rolled edge, and i liked the look of that the most. 8)

It was rolled inwards. I didn't like the added restriction (my motor blasts gobs of exhaust out) so I got to it with the die grinder... :P
