I "heard" you can get a set of fully reconditioned Metro 4 pots, complete for $1000 plus fitting.
Mine cost me $600 and I had to replace piston seals, pads, rotors and not sure what else, prolly ended up costing more than the $1k though.

$2k sounds a lot, but it is Cooper. I wouldnt know
