howdy all, couple more things to clear up about the fab mini that is indeed the K..
Firstly, JAM, all deluxes had the mats too.
Second, the padded dish steering wheel logo changed from BMC to british leyland with the rotor symbol sometime in 1971.
Heaters were an option, $32 at the time, 15 mins to warm up and then the faster you go the hotter you get. I believe poobrown was also an interior colour, but if ya car's Mist Green like mine, its greeeeeeeen all over everywhere baby.
And doc, thanks for speaking the truth brother about the ID plates!! Ive had people trying to tell me my totally original granny car was a cut and shut because it had no plate. Rubbish, this is BMC aus we're talking about, they couldnt afford plates. If you have a 69 like mine (10/69) it'll have the rad shroud stamp and a lift up flap in the sound proofing on the bulkhead revealing.... your colour and paint code! whipeee! Anyway, I love the K, they are the best pre-clubman mini in the world! and the 1100 is really a nice engine, loads of torque.
want more pics of another very nice K, if i may say so myself..... (cos its mine) go here
