Ok
I found pieces of wood in the insides of my mini, just like tucked up in the back door pockets. Is there spose to be wood in the front doors aswell or not? And what do these pieces of wood do. There wasnt anyhting behind them so i cant figure out a reason for them being there. Are these to hold the sound deafener in and ya put carpet over the wood.

Don't recall seeing any wood ever....as a guess....someones decided to fix an annoying rattle by jamming lumps of wood in the gaps or used the wood to tack on some vinyl (maybe).

deadener you mean,

the door cards are made of cardboard, as are the bottoms of the pockets front and back.

minis don't have alot in the way of sound deadening also

so with those cards should i make some new ones out of the old ones, like use the old one as a template and make some new ones then carpet them and stuff em back in with deadener behind them ow just put the carpet straight to the metal.?

make cards using the old ones as a template, and cover them properly using vinyl or velour, just putting carpet on the panels will look hell dodgy, i've seen door cards done dodgy and they really look horrible and devalue the car alot.

adding sound deadening will help alot!

ok thanks.
at least i was right with one thing, making new door cars.
but the front doors didnt have cards on them so what do i do here?
also at the bottom of the back pockets its not level like theres a hole inside the pocket.
do i just make a card for the bottom and carpet it then stuff it in.(after putting deadener under it)

Try to find someone local who you could make a template off theirs, failing that, you could ask really nicely and perhaps someone could send you a template, bear in mind without the orginals, someone elses template may not be an exact fit, so you should make sure you get them fitting right before you re-cover them.

Do a search, there are numerous threads on making door cards, if you want some hints..

Foley, if you click on the Clubman LS in my sig, then under Interior Improvements you can have a look at what the door card looks like. Then just take some measurements from your doors and go from there..

thanx for the help man but my door is complete different to yours.
my doors are 850 with the huge door pocket at the bottom and slide windows not wind and the door handle is in the top corner near the lock.
