if you can see this message, it means you made it through the transfer...
sorry for the guys and girls who were online at the time, but its all done now.

Ausmini is now on a new server, with more bandwidth, more space, and therefor can have more stuff on it.
no longer willo it be a challenge to find somewhere to upload your images, cos I'll be making it available right here!!!!

once again, sorry for the inconvenience while the nameserver updates, but rest assured, it'll be all over in about 24-48hrs.

thanks for your patience

Definitely slower here- now takes 5 secs to refresh each screen...!

<edit> you can see it write the buttons across the screen each time, then add the emoticons down the screen. Looks to me like something was cached before, now not..

Other sites are still fast...

I'm on 512/128 BB

It's all relative then - about the same 5 secs here now but that is still twice as fast for me cause I was at least 10 secs per page before the move and I'm on broadband but i'm not on the eastern seaboard. This new server must be closer to the internet backbone compared to the old one.

With the rapid growth of the forum, more bandwidth was inevitable or the whole thing would have soon ground to a halt under the workload. Well done to the Admins for doing something about it before too many noticed things slowing down.

I was on BigPong cable when my son the IT guru was at home. When he moved I binned it and went ADSL. Unlike BigPong, it works 99% of the time.. :P

No way I'd go back to dialup- I'm spoilt... :x

Is it my computer or is the server's clock stuffed?

OK it was slow on mine but that was when it first moved, with temporary address.
I left it on there the last week or so..
Now I've gone back to using the ausmini.tziworld address, it's flying. :P

this maybe a dumb question, but ha the move changed the resolution it supports?

I haven't (knowingly) changed my screen resolution but the buttons at the top are just links now and the whole forum is larger very much like the resolution has gone down a notch.

Has anyone else experienced this or is it a gremlin on my PC?

I think the default skin has changed. I had a different skin to the default for when I was logged in, so I knew if I was logged in. Now they are the same. I like this one better anyway, it's clearer.

Have we got more room in our PM inbox too?
