Totally immaculate stock looking Traveller. Burgundy with wood kit. Chromed Cooper S wheels (for that original look). Under the bonnet a full-hose 1380 with twin 1 1/2 SU's - 100+hp. Cooper S disk brakes. Inside low back bucket seats in cream leather, wood dash with central gauges and Under dash air.

So far I have the shell, the engine (1275 needs rebuild), the air con and the front callipers. Now all I neded is a spare 20 grand to buy the rest of the bits and a few months off work to build it.

Well it would have to be roundnose for me, 10" Performance Superlites, some Wood n Pickett arches, maybe painted that metallic green colour that the SS 'dores are all painted these days, a decent motor underneath (1275+, big bore head, Weber/Dell'orto carb, straight cut gearbox and drop gears and a beefy cam. Anything providing over 100hp I'd be stoked with. Or something that revs happily to 9000rpm with a DOHC cylinder head and variable valve timing....)

I'd like to try a Mini with dry cone suspension, I don't mind hydrospastic that much, but properly setup dry suspension would kick arse

my mini would be something like this...

Morris or clubman, not sure yet, orange with white roof, black tinted windows. zeemax body kit, huge bonnet bulge, 13" mini lights, slammed to the ground, fibre glass flip front, boot, aluminium doors, and door trims, fibre glass dash pad, with 5" tacho, shift light, oil, water, petrol, boost, gauges, electrical Speedo, turbo timer, manual boost control, relocated quick shift, hydraulic hand brake, 2 cobra high backs, 5 point harnesses, sports wheel, gear nob, terra-trip, window nets, uhf radio, helmet box where back seats were, totally stripped interior unless stated, fire extinguisher, 6 point roll cage, 4 wheel disc brakes, 3" straight through sports exhaust with twin cannon mufflers out rear, turbo V tech type R under the hood, with huge internal mods, front mount intercooler, bov. Huge fuel cell in boot. Shaved door handles, boot, deseamed. Dee guttered.

yummy, once thats done then ill install the flame throwers!!

well,,,mine would be a carbon fibre fastback "Monaco" roofed mini with carbon fibre front panel work, carbon fibre doors & boot lid,,,(full chrome molly roll cage of course)

It would have 1415cc A series with a BMW motorbike twin cam 16 valve cyl head on it fitted with turbo charger & full sequential electronic engine management injection system, 5 speed S/C C/R gear box & S/C drop gears, with 5th gear being an over drive unit,

i`d have just "S" discs up front & 10" "S" offset wheels all round so no flares, with a Marcos beam rear suspension, fully adjustable & coil over shockies, alloy superminifin drums & alloy rear hubs too,,,(all that stuff i allready have on the Targa Tassie Rally mini anyways) ;-)

i`d have all the very best of my wood grain interior throughout, with a lovely leather appolstery to make it all smooth quiet & sofisticated & all :-)

then i`d simply make up a fastback Monaco trailer to go with it, only it would be a pop top type camper to sleep in with a small stove & fridge etc

all this i am actually trying to sort out & hopefully it will happen sometime before i`m 90 years old :-)

Why would you want to turbo a VTEC motor?

Id say more than likely the crap box I got now. But I think one of those Link Automotive Supercharger Kits would be nice.
