I remember when it was less than 10 cents a litre circa 1975. ( of course my memory may be failing)

For the premium 95 octane stuffs, $1.48 in Launny and $1.51 in Hobart this weekend, payed $1.55 the other week at Swansea.

We have just got the 98 octane stuff down here recently. I think that is usually about 4-6 cents more than the 95 stuff, if they have it at all.

When I was at uni the local garage would give a discount if you bought more than $2 worth. The sad thing was that you couldn't fit $2 worth of super in a Mini.

But if you had THREE minis you could buy 5 bucks worth and get an even better discount ;)

Cheers, Ian

When I had my first Mini you could fill the tank for $1.00

I used a tank full going to and from Uni all week and a tankfull at the weekend. I had a Saturday morning job that paid $4.00 and I charged the girl down the road $1.00 a week to take her to Uni  so that left $3.00 to spend :?
