I think that's just a normal 998 Deluxe engine.

Moke. :wink:
10 = 1098.
Y = Australian manufacture.
F = 6th variation of the 1100 motor.
U = Under Dash = Direct gearstick.
H = High Compression.

far out u just know everything!

good on you mate, it had watto and i stumped!

Thats the motor in my moke, so it should prolly be the correct motor then. does
it seem right for a 1973, were there any changes to the motor in the sixth edition?
?

The 6th variant probably just means that it is a Moke motor. The variations that they count are things like gearchange and diff ratios as well as compression ratios, they would have had the Morris 1100, Mini K, Mini 1100(long non-remote shift), Mini Clubman, Moke, etc. plus High and Low compression versions so the 6th variant means little in the big picture.
I have seen a few Mokes with similar body and engine numbers.

As to the question posed under the original post. Try www.minis.com.au then look under technical data. You should find something there.

They did have a complete list on mini.org but unfortunately the site is no longer online?? I wonder what happened to that great site.
